My works at Journées Nationales des Artistes 2025: a personal view of an important event

In September 2025 two of my paintings were selected for presentation on a large screen in Paris as part of the official national art programme Journées Nationales des Artistes 2025, organised by La Maison des Artistes in cooperation with the Association des Maires de France and other cultural partners. For me, this news became an important professional and emotional moment, which I perceived as confirmation of the direction in which my artistic work in France is developing.

National Artists’ Day: an event that brings artists together

Journées Nationales des Artistes is a nationwide French initiative aimed at supporting artists and strengthening the role of contemporary art in society. The programme consists of discussions, presentations, and digital screenings of works by artists from different regions. The purpose of this event is to create a space in which artists can make themselves known, as well as to encourage the exchange of experience between creative communities and institutions.

On 12 September 2025, the official launch of the programme took place in Paris. It was within this digital presentation that my paintings were also shown. For an artist working outside the major cultural centres, this became a significant opportunity — a voice that overcomes distance and finds its place within the professional environment of France as a whole.

The morning silence of Saint-Laurent, spring air, and pure light. The harmony of architecture and nature.

Saint-Laurent. Memory of Light

Spring sky above Canigou, blooming gardens, and a fragrant renewing space. Calm and the power of nature in one canvas.

These paintings are united by the theme of light and the landscapes of the South of France. It is precisely light that has become the foundation of my artistic language in recent years: it determines the emotion, the atmosphere, and the internal logic of the composition. The work on the series dedicated to Saint-Laurent-de-Cerdans and Mount Canigou has become part of my current artistic path, closely connected with the place that has become my present space for life and creativity.

That is why I perceived the participation of these particular canvases in the national programme as a sign that my exploration of light and space resonates with a wider audience. It is a very delicate but important feeling — when your work is seen, recognised, and included in an institutional context.

The personal dimension of the event

Although I was not physically present at the event, the very news of the selection became for me a moment of profound inner joy. It was not a loud emotion — rather a calm, mature awareness that my work had found its place among the works of professional artists from all over France.

“When I learned that my paintings had been included in the presentation in Paris, I felt not triumph, but quiet gratitude. There is much light in my work, and I wanted someone to see that light. That is why it is important to me that these works became part of a national artistic initiative.”

I have always believed that art grows from consistency. Every day in an artist’s life is a small step that nobody sees. Countless decisions, countless doubts, and only from time to time — confirmation that the path you choose has meaning.

“Participation in Journées Nationales des Artistes gave me a feeling of inner calm: my work is moving forward, and I have room to grow.”

The professional context and the significance of participation

Inclusion in a national art programme is of great importance for any artist, especially for those who develop their work outside the major cultural capitals. Journées Nationales des Artistes is an initiative that shapes the visibility of contemporary art in France by bringing together artists from different regions and presenting them to a broad public.

For me, this event became the first inclusion of my works in an official national project — this means that my artistic work was heard and noticed beyond the local context. In the system of the French cultural infrastructure, where there is strong competition and clear professional standards, such visibility is an important step forward.

It is also a significant addition to my portfolio, which I am gradually building in France: participation in national programmes, submissions to institutions, work on series, interaction with creative communities. All this forms the path of an artist — and this event has become a meaningful part of it.

A look to the future

Journées Nationales des Artistes 2025 became for me not only a fact of participation, but also a reminder of the importance of continuing to explore the themes that concern me. Landscape series, work with light, observation of the nature of the South of France — all this will continue to be part of my artistic practice.

“This moment gave me the feeling that small daily efforts have meaning. That art can be born in quiet places, but find its way to large cities. And that the light of my paintings can be seen even when I do not expect it.”

I am grateful for this opportunity and for the fact that my works became part of a national artistic event. This inspires me to move forward, create new paintings, develop my technique, and work on projects that I dream of realising in the coming years.

Conclusion

The presentation of my two paintings in Paris within Journées Nationales des Artistes 2025 became an important event for me — quiet, but very significant. It combined professional recognition, institutional support, and my personal sense of the path that I continue to build in France.

It is not a summit, but only one of the points illuminating the road ahead. And I am glad that my art became part of this national initiative, because it is born of sincerity, light, and the place that has become my present space for life and creativity.
