Short biography
Anna Mamchur is a Ukrainian artist living and working in the south of France. She holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, officially recognised in France through the ENIC-NARIC system.
She works primarily with acrylic painting, combining landscape, decorative tradition, and symbolic thinking. Member of La Maison des Artistes and CNFAP.
Artist Statement
In her paintings, Anna Mamchur creates a space of stillness and light — not as an external effect, but as a state of mind that unfolds during the act of painting. Her works emerge from a sense of harmony between nature and the inner world of the human being.
For her, acrylic painting is an act of contemplation, in which colour breathes with the rhythm of nature. The dawn light over a mountain valley, the stillness of lavender, the clarity of the sky become a material of inner calm.
Works from 2024–2025 mark a transition from decorative art to a more symbolic painting, in which Ukrainian ornamental tradition is combined with a contemporary painterly language.
The south of France, where the artist lives and works, enters her canvases not as a background, but as a mirror of an inner state — of space, freedom, and balance.
